#HalfGlassWater Campaign to Save Water
Water being one of the most essential necessity of life, is becoming an increasing scare resource.
According to NITI Aayog it is said that by 2030, 60 Cr people in country will face water scarcity. Almost 21 Indiian states will be drained out of Drinkable water. Water supply in India is expected to fall 50% below demand by 2030.
75% of households do not have drinking water on premise. 84% rural households do not have piped water access.
70% of our water is contaminated; India is currently ranked 120 among 122 countries in the water quality index.
India's water crisis has over the last few years snowballed into a national calamity due to increased infrastructure, industrialization and non-treatment of effluents released in water bodies resulting in dry, arid desert-like situations in many areas of the country.
We at Me the Change have started a small step towards saving water . We know how it feels when a person does not have enough water to satisfy the thrust .
Many people unable to satisfy hunger have a glass of water and sleep but soon they will not even get that glass of water if we don't take some measures to save water now .
Many places in India are already facing the water scarcity. Lets stop it before its too late .
